Abstract

This study aims to analyze the influence of economic growth, investment, and education on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT) in West Java Province. The data used in the study are data from 2020 to 2024 and include a sample of 15 districts/cities with the highest TPT in 2024. The data used are secondary data obtained from the website of the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and West Java Open Data. The analytical method used is panel data regression with the Fixed Effect Model (FEM) approach, and the application of cluster-robust standard error to overcome potential heteroscedasticity and autocorrelation to produce more reliable estimates. The results show that economic growth has a negative and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT). Meanwhile, the investment variable has a negative but insignificant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT), while education has a negative and significant effect on the Open Unemployment Rate (TPT). Simultaneously, all independent variables in the model have a significant effect on the dependent variable.
