Abstract

This home industry is a business unit or company on a small scale which generally only uses one or two houses as a production center. The existence of a home industry provides quite a lot of positive impacts on the people's economy, both in terms of employment and increasing people's income, especially for the lower class. This study aims to determine the role of the cracker home industry on the economy of the people in Sladi Village. This study aims to determine the role of home industry in improving the economy of the people in Sladi village. This research is qualitative in nature, so in collecting data the writer uses interview, observation, and documentation techniques. As primary data, namely data obtained from respondents, owners and workers in the home industry. Meanwhile, secondary data was obtained from references related to the problems studied. The results of field research show that the existence of the cracker home industry in Sladi Village has a positive role in the community's economy in terms of employment and increasing people's income in Sladi Village, especially the workforce working in it.
