Abstract
The relocation of the National Capital is an urgency and the government's efforts to increase the capacity of Jakarta, which is no longer ideal for becoming the capital city, then have a negative impact on the city of Jakarta itself, however moving the capital city is considered inappropriate because it seems to be too much of a budget which Indonesia considers currently not capable so that I am worried that this relocation will not be a solution but a new problem for Indonesia. The aim of this research is to find out what impacts it will have on Indonesia if the relocation of the country's capital is completed and not completed. This research uses a qualitative approach through data collection, literature, interviews and analysis. content. This research shows that moving the capital city has a negative impact on Indonesia with several things at stake for development such as natural wealth in Kalimantan and also Indonesia's increasing debt which is feared to be difficult to pay off, even though moving the country's capital has a positive impact on Indonesia's economic development and is one of the efforts to handle the city of Jakarta which exceeds its capacity. This research contributes to the government using the budget well so that IKN development runs smoothly.
