Abstract


The problem of migration is a complex problem caused by several indicators that are interconnected following a pattern that is not always easy to understand. This study aims to analyze the effect of poverty, Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP) and Investment on international migration of female workers in Indonesia. The independent variables used in this study are Poverty, Provincial Minimum Wage (UMP), and Investment. While the dependent variable is in the form of international migration of female workers in Indonesia. The analysis period in this study was from 2012 - 2019 using secondary data obtained from the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) and the National Agency for the Placement and Protection of Indonesian Workers (BNP2TKI). The method used is Fixed Effect Model (FEM) data analysis in 9 provinces in Indonesia. Based on the results of the study, it shows that the poverty variable does not have a significant effect in a positive direction, the provincial minimum wage variable has a significant effect in a positive direction, while the investment variable has a significant effect in a negative direction.
